Eighteenth SS2011 Video Lookbook
Director: Ian Meltzer
Producer by: Revery Media
Starring: Ricky Hu
Music: White Denim “I Start to Run”
A special thanks to Sandbox Studios
Apparel brand Eighteenth collaborates for the second time with production company Revery Media on a stunning video lookbook for the Spring/Summer 2011 season. The monochromatic video plays with ideas of movement, seamlessly blending clothing and body to create fluid silhouettes that translate beautifully on-screen. Starring model Ricky Hu, the SS2011 lookbook showcases six of Eighteenth’s signature styles for Spring. The compelling soundtrack, “I Start to Run”, is credited to indie darlings White Denim, off their 2009 album.

Eighteenth recently showed you pictures from behind-the-scenes of the video shoot we did, and now we can show you the full sha-bang. The completed promo video for the Eighteenth SS2010 Collection is above for your viewing pleasure. Featuring modern dancers Kathryn Schetlick (who also choreographed the piece), Kristin Osler, Madelyn Biven, and Natasha Diamond Walker, the promo was directed by up-and-comer Ian Meltzer, and produced by Revery Media. The song featured is “Science of Fear”, as remixed by Pocketknife.
The modern dance tale integrates the Eighteenth shirts in a confrontation between a group of dancers and a lone dancer co-existing in a void of black and white. Heavy stuff, but we dig it. Hopefully you do too!
